Outreach Programs

Sacramento Japanese Film Festival -

The Sacramento Japanese Film Festival began as a one day festival, Japanese Movies at the Crest, in 2005.  In 2010 it grew to a three-day festival.  In 2010, for the first time, there were two Sunday afternoon screenings.  The Sacramento Film Festival is held in July at the Crest Theatre in downtown Sacramento.  

Tanoshimi Kai

Tanoshimi Kai is a senior social group that gets together every Wednesday beginning at 10:00 AM for fellowship and enjoying a nutritious meal together for lunch.

Basketball -

The Sacramento Japanese United Methodist Church participates in the Northern California Church League basketball league.  The participation is an outreach to offer local youth, second grade through high school, the opportunity to participate in a sports league focused on teamwork, fun, fair play, fellowship, and good sportsmanship. Instructional league is offered for children ages five to seven. Church and/or Sunday School attendance is a league requirement.

ACC Exercise

Senior open gym meets every Tuesday (Fireside Room) and Thursday (Gym)

9:30 am - Walking and 10-11:00 am - Exercise

Older Adult Dance Group

Line dancing for older adults meet every Thursday, 10:00 AM, in the Multi-Cultural Hall/Gym.
