The Mission Committee provides ministry to the community and beyond in many ways:
- South Sacramento Interfaith Partnership: SJUMC joins with area churches to provide an active Food Closet serving needy families and the homeless for over 35 years.
- Tutoring: SJUMC has a tutoring program that helps those in which English is a second language.
- Youth Mission Trips: Youth travel each year with the Sierra Service Project to help those in need.
